ELECTRICAL MUSCLE STIMULATION

EMS, or Electrical Muscle Stimulation, uses electrical impulses to elicit muscle contractions. This treatment can be used as a form of strength training and is also a great tool for those undergoing physical rehabilitation. For athletes, it has many benefits when used as a post-exercise recovery tool. It is different from TENS, or transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation because EMS stimulates the muscles to contract instead of stimulating the nerves. EMS mimics the action potential signals that come from the central nervous system.

LYMPHATIC COMPRESSION THERAPY

Lymphedema is the condition of protein-rich lymphatic fluid accumulating and swelling in the arms and legs. This swelling occurs when the veins or vessels are so impaired that the lymph fluid cannot be transported back into the bloodstream. When left untreated, the fluid causes the lymph tissue channels to swell and increase in size, which limits the amount of oxygen that is carried to these extremities. The lack of oxygen slows the healing time and increases the risk of infections due to the build-up of bacteria. Lymphedema can be present at birth or develop later on in life, either due to unknown reasons or the result of arterial abnormalities.

ACUPUNCTURE

The traditional therapy of acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years and is a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Here at Body of Beverly Hills Wellness, we are big proponents of this traditional therapy because its benefits are so apparent. Although many challenge this view, we’ve had tremendous success in relieving back and lumbar pain through frequent acupuncture treatments. Our team of therapists has been fully trained on the process and has developed a deep understanding of the traditional therapy throughout our time in the industry.

Most frequently, pain management is always on our agenda. In addition, when it comes to our clients, pain is always at the top of their list of symptoms. CRANIAL FACIAL RELEASE (CFR)

CFR is an advanced endo-nasal cranial technique that has been used quite successfully in the treatment of various neurological and structural disorders. To understand how CFR works it is essential to understand that the skull is NOT one solid bone. It is made up of 22 individual bones that actually move every time you breathe – or at least they’re supposed to. The objective of CFR technique is to mobilie the bones in the face and cranium and to open up the breathing passageway with the purpose of mobilizing the cranial bones and facilitating normal cranial function.
